Eductor. Instructor. Mentor.

My name is Amy Keithley, and I am licensed K-5 teacher in Oregon. I graduated with my B.S., in Early Childhood/Elementary Education with my E.S.O.L. endoresment, before working on my MSEd in Information Technology with an Instructional Design Certification.

I fell in love with educational technology during my Masters where I learned about the necessity for teaching 21st century skills in the classroom.  With the varied resources available - such as Web 2.0 tools, Multimedia tools, Online Presentations, Learning Management Systems, Social Learning Platforms, etc. - educators are able to better teach to students of all learning styles while still addressing all of the necessary Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards.

During one of my last terms of my Masters Degree, I worked for an A.S.S.E.T.T. (Agile & Sustainable Educational Technology Training) group to design SMART Board workshops.  I was able to gain the skill set and understanding needed about SMART Boards to create trainings for faculty, staff, and students (pre-service educator track).  Afterwards, I took my knowledge and creating short video tutorials which are housed here on the Tutorial Gallery page.
